A car belonging to the OSCE Special Observer Mission was blown up in southeastern Ukraine

The uniqueness of our business is that, when purchasing, the customer has the opportunity to objectively evaluate only a few less important characteristics of their armored vehicle – its design, engine power, driving characteristics, and so on. The most important factor – i.e., why they are actually purchasing this vehicle – is left entirely to the manufacturer’s credibility: the true protective properties only become apparent in extreme situations, when error correction is no longer possible.
Another incident involving an armored special vehicle occurred in southeastern Ukraine: a vehicle belonging to the OSCE Special Observer Mission was bombed, resulting in the death of one person and two others being hospitalized.
It is emphasized that these people were inside the armored vehicle, whose primary function is not transport, but rather the protection of its occupants. According to preliminary information, the cause of the explosion was an anti-tank mine buried in the roadway. The vehicle was thrown 15 meters during the explosion, and photos from the scene clearly show that the vehicle is severely damaged – practically little of the “special armored vehicle” remains. In this sense, the quality of the product is “beyond par” – highly worthy of criticism.
However, exposure to an anti-tank mine is a standard threat faced by special armored vehicles all over the world. Consequently, this is also a standard test during certification tests. After analyzing this case in Lugansk, we can assume that our certified Toyota LC200/Lexus 570 special armored vehicle with the highest VPAM VR10 protection class would certainly have saved the lives of its occupants in a similar situation. During certification tests, the Aurum Security vehicle successfully passed the anti-tank mine exposure – the crash test dummy inside the vehicle was not damaged.
