Our armored Lexus LX570 VPAM VR10 drives on the sands of the hottest continent

Aurum Security armored vehicles have proven themselves in all parts of the world, including Africa – a continent that is “hot” both literally and figuratively. Africa has been one of the most unstable regions of the world for many decades. Military conflicts caused by long-standing political differences continue there, and new hotbeds of tension constantly appear.

Speaking about African countries, we can highlight several factors that influence the use of armored vehicles in this territory. This is a high probability of a terrorist threat or armed attack, a hot climate, off-road conditions, and the lack of a developed network of service stations. Let us dwell on these points in more detail.

Firstly, in such a troubled region, a car that is not just armored, but maximally protected and reliable is needed. Our certified Toyota LC200/Lexus LX570 has the highest level of protection for civilian vehicles – VPAM VR10, which guarantees protection even from a Dragunov sniper rifle. For comparison, when an armor-piercing incendiary bullet B32 hits a car with protection level B6, it penetrates the armor through and through.

Secondly, thanks to the combination of a powerful engine and a modern climate control system in our car, you will feel comfortable even at an outside temperature of +50 degrees. By the way, with the air conditioner on at full power, the fuel consumption of our armored Toyota LC200/Lexus LX570 is 30-34 liters per 100 km for a 5.7 liter gasoline engine, and 24-27 liters for a 4.5 liter diesel engine.

Thirdly, the excellent off-road characteristics of our cars allow you to freely move across rough terrain, including sand. And finally, fourthly, when armoring even at the highest level of protection for civilian vehicles VPAM10, we were able to develop the design in such a way that servicing our cars is no different from servicing regular Toyota LC200/Lexus LX570 cars. In particular, the armor design provides access to all mechanisms and parts that require scheduled replacement. This means that maintenance (replacement of brake pads, oil and other technical fluids) can be performed at any service center.

Thus, we conclude that even in such difficult and sometimes dangerous conditions typical for African countries, our cars remain the standard of protection, cross-country ability, comfort and ease of use.
